Make a spinning flower for the BIG IF!

On Saturday the 8th of June at 2- 5pm the IF campaign will be creating a giant visual petition in Hyde Park. This will be made out of spinning flowers, a reminder of the 3 million children who die because of hunger every year. You can help us to complete this visual petition by adding your spinning flower on the day if you can make it!

If you haven’t yet, you can sign up to get your free tickets here-

What if I can't make it to London!!!?
If you aren't able to make it join the Facebook event page and why not make a flower anyway in solidarity!  You can take a snap of it and email it to your MP, or post it on the BIG IF Facebook event wall! :)

It only takes 10 minutes to make one of these, a piece of card and a pin! Get some families and kids together in the sunshine and make your own little visual petition to share across social media and if you can with your local MP.

Why should I get involved?
Every hour of every day, more than 350 children die because of preventable malnutrition. That's around 24 whole primary schools of children dying every single day - you'd think that would make the news a little more often wouldn't you?  The G8 is this month - show the important leaders that you do care and you do want to see real action taken to stop this.

How do I make a spinning flower?

Look it's really easy to make a spinning flower! You can find a guide to making your flower and flower template here

Together, we must demand that
G8 leaders make 2013

the beginning of the end of hunger.

David Cameron has pledged to reduce the number of malnourished children by 20 million by 2020. But with just a month to go to the G8 we’re worried he hasn't done enough to take advantage of such a historic opportunity. Luckily there's still time to put things right- let’s make sure that he hears our demands and makes real commitments to ending hunger!

There is always hope - do something small like spending 10 minutes making a windmill flower today or tomorrow and show your support by sharing it on social media with a link to the IF campaign ( ) or adding it personally to the Hyde Park display if you can make it to London for the 8th.

Please share your passion for this issue and shout about it as much as you can!
